Animate a car

Insipration

Well, interesting to note, This guys shots are movie level quality.  He's using compositing for sure with the different layers of background, mid ground, and the street with the cars.  Sort of reminds me how lucas had the motion control rigs to shoot the different elements with the same camera motions.

Looks very good.  He used several different programs, like aftereffects, and substance designer, and Davinci.  To make this a perfect video, he would have to have the tires interact with the debris on the floor and have dust and atmospherics added.

Make or get a car.  Look here for free objects.

Or Model a car. Or scan a car using an Ipad with lidar.

Texture the car.  This person has some good shader node setup for car paint materials.

IF your going to use Eevee use this tutorial then. Car Paint in Eevee.

Then you have to rig the car.

Another great Car Rigging tutorial

Free rigacar plugin makes rigging a car easy.  Nice and easy.

Third you need a set to place the car in. Here's a nice bridge scene.  He goes over modeling, and texturing He gets his cars from cgtrader.com.  His tutorial Is intermediate, and only shows some of the process.  If you know how to use curves, this can be a nice guide to how to build a bridge.  The idea is he has some references and models the parts, and combines them into a bridge.

Below Derrk also has a nice highway type set he builds using Paths

Beginner

First he sets the origin of the car, Then he enters edit mode and adds a curve using Path.  To make the car follow the path he uses a constraint called follow path. He then makes the track using the same path.  He uses the graph editor to modify the speed of the cars. He makes the cars drift on the curves, adds a second car, and Makes a great easy to follow tutorial on animating a car.

Intermediate

He talks about how to model and texture a highway, uses a curve and modifier and array, to have a bendy highway, adds light polls uses the same modifier.  The cars follow the path. He makes it look so simple. Looks great.

This tutorial shows you how to make a car on a road animation.  He has some free objects like a road and buildings etc, to help you start, and links to high quality free cars.  He adds a bezier Path and selects the car, and the car will follow the path.  He places some cars on the road as the main car follows the path. I think he is using a paid add on that rigs the cars, which has a great feature for the rigs wheels to follow the terrain.  He simply places some buildings on the side of the road and sidewalk.  He has a simple node setup for the texture of the street which uses the roughness for color and height bump map also which makes the road look better.

This is his sequal, and he shows how he uses Davinci Resolve to edit his car animation and add sounds.  He also uses aftereffects for the lens flares for the headlights.
