Tie Fighter and Technouveau Art Tutorials

I made this test animation for an excellent tie fighter from Technouveau Art.   I found the engine and exhaust in blend kit, and added them to the model.  I then select a row of polys in the engine and used blendkit again using the solar sun material.

So this is very interesting.  I found the 3D Artist Jesse Miettinen, known as Blenderesse, wows us again! Using Blender 3.5 Geometry Nodes Simulation Branch, he creates mesmerizing melting effects. This beta setup allows for easy customization, turning static models into dynamic art. Stay tuned as this Blender enthusiast continues to push boundaries in the 3D world!  You can get the melt  blend here.

And i incorportated that into the tie fighter model, so an empty makes a melting effect.  The next thing to do is add in a few blaster beams and explosions.

You can see in the above where i used a mix shader, and redirected the tie fighter surface to the melt node tree.   There are settings to change to make the melt look more like something caused by a blaster.  FOr how long the cool off is, how much the heat effect is, etc.

Technouveau Art has a very interesting kitbashing routine.  His ships look awesome.
